Katy Bowman, biomechanist, and Jill Miller, fascia expert, have collaborated on this comprehensive “whole body” program that breaks down the act of walking to help improve gait, gain distance and make every step count for whole body health and longevity.

Your whole body walks together. If any parts don’t move well, your whole walk suffers, including distance and ability to walk on difficult terrain.

Walking Well: A Stepwise Approach to an Everyday Movement helps you in every walk you take—even if it’s just through the gym to lift weights or on the way to work. And it can help with those adventurous, long-distance walks so many of us would love to take.

This Fourteen Segment Online Course Contains:

Plus a “gait test” for each section of the program to help you assess your progress, along with a "walking homework assignment" to assist in integrating your new skills.

That’s over 6 Hours of Gait-Improving Exercises!

Walking Well is for every body. Work on your walk in the comfort of your own home and move through the course at a self-directed pace.

The Program is divided into SIX SECTIONS that focus on these key topics:

  1. Waking Up the Feet
  2. Strong and Supple Ankles
  3. The Supportive Stance Leg
  4. The Swing-Leg Spectrum
  5. Strong on the Stairs
  6. Stable Core and Shoulders

Throughout the Walking Well Program, you’ll find modifications along with a variety of demonstrations to help match where your body wants to start.

Walking Well helps answer these key questions:

Boost your ability to take on more challenging distances, terrains and elevations to explore more. Good form equips you with the ability to carry weight (like a backpack), go farther, and move with efficiency and ease.

Find out:

Walking Well can help you find the parts within your walking body that may be the origin of ongoing pain, dysfunction or injury. This course helps you identify and mobilize injured or stiff body parts and integrate them into your gait once more.

Walking Well gives you the skills to uncover where you’ve side-stepped living in these parts and brings them back in tune with each other, helping you learn:

As we spend a lifetime in shoes and chairs and on flat, level sidewalks, our walking can suffer. Hills, bumpy paths, and even stairs can become tricky to walk on. But the good news is, your walk can always improve. Walking Well will help you get your walking back on track, regaining balance, agility, and freedom with every step. Learn:

Dig into specific movements that make up a gait cycle. This course includes content that athletes, movement professionals, personal trainers and clinicians can utilize to dig deeper into the bodies they work with. Walking underlies all locomotor patterns. Professionals seeking to improve health and function for their clients can boost the foundational elements behind swinging, throwing, racing, jumping and all cross-pattern sports and activities.

Walking Well arms the athlete and fitness pro with a massive toolkit to better assess themselves, and every client they lead. You’ll discover:

It’s incredible. I highly recommend it….If you are looking for movement longevity, I absolutely think that this is something that everyone should implement in their life and in their routine.…You’ll also learn different things about how the body works; weaknesses that you might not know about like ankle weakness, like toe weakness. Learning all these different strengthening exercises can be so valuable.

I started the program this morning and I love it! The combination of Jill’s Rollouts and Katy’s exercises provides simple and effective releasing, stretching and strengthening movements. Both Katy and Jill provide excellent, clear instruction for exercises to support walking well. Their instruction includes modifications for most any fitness level and any age. I believe the program will provide benefit for anyone who is willing to put in the time to do the exercises and keep walking.

 Dr. Mark Hyman

About 2 years ago I tore my MCL in my left knee. I love to hike but it made it difficult and did not want to consider any kind of surgery. I started with Physical therapy, dabbled in acupuncture and even some alternative laser treatments. It helped a bit but I still could not bend the knee all the way. Then I started with the Walking Well program. Starting from the feet and going up was perfect. I have not completed it yet but every lessons increases my knee mobility. All the flexibility has come back. The combination of Jill and Katy is wonderful. I am grateful, I have my mobility and even getting stronger that I was before. Thank you so much!
